Having a hard time seeing Empty Having a hard time seeing

When I was a young man, I was an airline pilot. I had perfect vision. I love to read, and have read a lot. However I now have very blurred vision. Tried magnifiers, and even had a perfiection filled, but nothing improved. On the last eye exam I had, the opthomoligist said that I have a retna fold. Said I might need an operation. I am a bit leary obout an operation. Looking for some opinions.
